Polperro residents and visitors wishing to see a doctor can attend the Polperro Surgery at the times shown below (telephone for an appointment) or ring the Looe Health Centre to make an appointment there.

The Polperro Surgery is halfway between the main car park and the harbour. It is open from 9.00am until 12 noon on Monday and Tuesday, and from 3pm until 6pm on Wednesday and Thursday, but closed on Fridays and at weekends and bank holidays.Telephone the Looe Health Centre (now called "The Old Bridge Surgery") in Station Road, East Looe (01503-263196) between 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday to make an appointment. Home visits are only available to patients who are too ill or infirm to attend the Surgery. Please phone the Surgery before 10.30am on the day the visit is required.

There is a 24hr nurse run minor injuries unit at the new Liskeard Community Hospital, Clemo Road, Liskeard (go to Liskeard and take bypass at roundabout near Morrisons/Safeway towards Callington - hospital is signposted and is on a business estate on the right hand side). Tel: 01579 335 600.

Pharmacist

Robert's Pharmacy is located in The Coombes, Polperro, below the Surgery. In addition to dispensing both NHS and private prescriptions, the pharmacist will also give advice on a range of medical issues including the appropriate treatment for minor ailments. A range of surgical and ostomy appliances and supplies is available and First Aid kits can also be obtained. A one hour photo processing service is available.
